A traffic collision, also called a motor vehicle collision, car accident, or car crash,
occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal,
road debris, or other stationary obstruction, such as a tree, pole or building
There are large disparities in road traffic death rates between regions.
The risk of dying as a result of a road traffic injury is highest in the African Region
(26.6 per 100 000 population), and lowest in the European Region
Low and middle income countries have the worst rates of road traffic deaths ,
the World Health Organization (WHO) has said.
The global health body said this is inspire of these countries having roughly 60 percent of the world’s vehicles.
According to the report, African and South American countries still lack sufficient speed limits.
