The new generation party called for the neutrality of civil society organizations and the media in the run-up to the elections.
The president of the party, Solomon Tafesse, told Addis Zemen that the media activity is good. Since the media is the public eye, they should pay special attention to this election and act impartially.
Similarly, he called on civil society organizations to show their support for the democratic election. He said the activities in this year’s pre-election process are relatively better than previous ones.
He said he had previously visited southern Ethiopia and other parts of the country in connection with the election campaign and security. “Peace is a concern, but it is not a burden on social media,” he said.
“We are actively participating in the election. We are also working to ensure that the people register and hold the ballot papers during the election campaign. So far, “the people have welcomed us with peace and love; We have no problems. ”
