Prime Minister Dr. Abi Ahmed announced that he has shared the Ramadan Iftar meal with my Syrian refugee brothers and sisters who are close to Ethiopia.
“Today, we have shared the Ramadan Iftar with my Syrian refugee brothers and sisters who are close to Ethiopia,” the prime minister said in a statement posted on his social media page yesterday.
He also said that this event is a reminder of the glorious history of the early days of Islam when our ancestors received close relatives and companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
As I am proud of this wonderful and beautiful story, He said that we want our people to pay attention to our humanitarian and faithful brothers and sisters, especially the younger generation.
He said the situation, as in the past, reaffirms our strong desire and belief to live in friendship, love, and peace with Muslim nations and peoples.
