More than 212.4 billion birr revenue has been collected, the ministry said

The Ministry of Revenue announced that it has collected 212 billion 473 million 364 thousand 061 revenue in the first nine months of the current budget year. He thanked all parties for their successful implementation.

The Minister of Revenue, Lake Ayalew, said the ministry plans to collect 213 billion 850 million 048 thousand 262 birr in the first nine months of the current budget year. It has collected 212 billion 473 million 364 thousand 061 birr. The performance is 99.36 percent of the plan.

He said the plan has grown by 29 billion 225 million 528 thousand 145 birr or 15.95 percent compared to the same period of the current budget year.

He said the country has collected 128 billion 171 million 912 thousand 306 birrs from domestic tax, 84 billion 135 million 403 thousand 672 birrs from foreign trade tax, and 166 million 048 thousand 082 birrs from lottery sales.

He said the revenue was collected at a time when the country was in a state of insecurity and cholera epidemic.

Taxpayers who have paid their taxes on time: He said the role of the Ministry of Revenue, the Customs Commission, the leadership and staff of the National Lottery Administration, and other stakeholders is significant.
