Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.

Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States.

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery in which traffickers use force,

fraud, or coercion to control victims for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts or labor services against his/her will.

Trafficking of children is a form of human trafficking and is defined by the United Nations as the

“recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, and/or receipt” kidnapping of a child for the purpose of slavery, forced labor and exploitation.
